Are you concerned about people in your community losing their homes?
You can help!

Washington HAF is a safe, free, and confidential program that can provide up to $60,000 for those who are struggling to pay their mortgage.
Administered by the Washington State Housing Finance Commission, HAF provides free and confidential support and can assist homeowners with many options to prevent foreclosure. Call the Hotline at 1-877‐894‐4663 for a no-cost assessment and referral to a housing counselor in your area, or visit www.washingtonhaf.org.
The Vida Agency (TVA) and the Washington HAF are committed to making sure you are paid well for your time, listened to, and valued for your expertise as a community-based consultant. Working as a Community Advisor is more than getting a stipend or gift card for participating in a focus group or survey. Our goal is not only to help people stay in their homes but to also build relationships with community through trust, authenticity, and—most of all—respect.
The Washington Homeowner Assistance Fund is seeking Community Advisors to promote the program to your community for an hour or two a week. You can post about HAF on social media, hand out flyers, give a presentation at a local event, or call attention to the program in another way.
When you help spread the word about HAF, you not only help your neighbors save their homes, you get paid well for your time and effort.
The Vida Agency will provide you with the materials and support you need to spread the word in your community. Flyers? Social media? Need us to show up at a live or virtual event? We've got you covered.
Whatever works best for you and yours, we’ll do it. We may also occasionally ask for your feedback on things like slogans for ad campaigns. Best of all? You don't need experience working in housing or finance. Just a commitment to engage with your community in your daily work and life.
Community Advisors won't have a set schedule - it’s up to you how much time and effort you put into promoting HAF. We ask for a commitment of up to 1.5 hours a week for six months. The standard pay structure for a Community Advisor is $80 per hour.
Early on, our team at TVA will collaborate with you to develop a work plan customized to you and the level of involvement you can offer. We’ll also check in with you one-on-one for about 20 minutes every couple of weeks, at a time that works with your schedule. During our check-ins, we’ll discuss how things are going, what’s next, and what support you need.
The Vida Agency is committed to protecting your privacy. Your personal information will be held in strict confidentiality by The Vida Agency, and your information will be used only for the purposes of Community Advisor recruitment unless you give us permission otherwise. We will not sell or share your information to any third parties, including government or enforcement agencies.
